Remembrance and love do not end with the death of a loved one. In Sanatan Hindu dharma there are times designated for honouring ancestors and departed loved ones to channel positive energy to the souls of the departed. This can manifest in many ways from fasting, making charitable contributions, doing good deeds in memory of the loved or prayer and meditation. It becomes a part of everyday life.
